Goniatites were an early form of curved cephalopod. They are part of the ammonite family. The suture pattern has a zig zag appearance that is very distinctive.
Each polished half is 5″ in length, 4″ in height and .6″ wide. Two halves of a sliced and polished ammonite fossil with crystalized insides.
