Crescent Amethyst Geode

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. The color is due to iron impurities in the crystal structure. This semi-precious stone is also February’s birthstone. It is thought to cure addiction and the ancient Greeks believed drinking wine from an amethyst cup would prevent intoxication.

This unique amethyst has a beautiful polished crescent shape and come fixed to a display stand. It weighs roughly 3 pounds and is 10 inches tall, 4 and 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide.
