The finest moonstones are found mainly in Sri Lanka in Southern India. Other varieties occur in Australia, Armenia, Mexico, Brazil and the United States. The rainbow variety of moonstone can be found in India and Madagascar. Moonstone is a variety of the feldspar-group mineral orthoclase. It’s composed of two feldspar minerals, orthoclase and albite.
This moonstone pendant is polished and encased by a stainless steel teardrop with a loop making it perfect for adding a necklace chain.
