Labradorite

Labradorite is a variety of feldspar. First discovered near Nain (which is the northernmost permanent settlement in the Canadian province of Labrador), it is found in various locations worldwide. Our pieces are from Madagascar. The beautiful play of color across cleavage plane is called labradorescence. Traditionally, it is thought to bring good luck!
