Knightia Eocaena Fish Fossil



This Knightia Eocaena is the most common fish in Fossil Lake and may be the most common articulated vertebrate fossil in the world. Knightia is the most common fish in any of the Green River fossil quarries.

Age: Eocene (50 million years old).

This fish is Wyoming’s state fossil.
