Amethyst Geode

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. The color is due to iron impurities in the crystal structure. This semi-precious stone is also February’s birthstone. It is thought to cure addiction and the ancient Greeks believed drinking wine from an amethyst cup would prevent intoxication.

This Unique Amethyst Geode weighs 1 and 3/4 pounds and is 4 and 1/2 inches tall. It’s about 4 inches by 4 inches wide.
