Agate Bookends

Formed over 50 million years ago, Agate is one of the hardest and most beautiful of all minerals. The patterns and designs that you see are solely at the whim of nature. No artificial surfaces are added; the mirror finish is achieved by simply grinding and polishing the stone. Occasionally, cavities lined with quartz crystals are present. These are less common, thus more valuable.
